Join a Course Providers Network
“LeisureCourses.net has been a great help to Arvon in our efforts to reach new writers. We have had many requests for brochures come through the site, and appreciate being part of a network for residential lifelong learning courses” (George Palmer, Communications Manager, Arvon)
“Of all the sites we have an entry on, the LeisureCourses.net site gives us by far the most new contacts” (Andrew Oughton, Head of Business, Plas Tan y Bwlch)
A few comments from former ARCA members about the benefits of networking with other course providers
ARCA colleges tend to be small organisations and most of us are one-“man” bands in terms of our work areas. It is very supportive to be able to call on the experience of colleagues in the same function in another college.
We have found it useful, for example, when considering energy-saving improvements and fundraising for special projects. Another thing our staff team have found useful is visits to other colleges, either as part of the AGM or as a specially arranged outing.
When I first started to think about installing wi-fi in public areas, it was very reassuring to find that, following one very brief email to the ARCA mailing list, I had four very clear pieces of solid advice within 3 hours
When I needed a Miniature Painting tutor at short notice, I emailed my ARCA colleagues and had a tutor within the hour. She turned out to be fantastic!
