SUMMARY:Bookbinding
DESCRIPTION:\nThe aim of the October course is to give a background to bookbinding\, an introduction to the tools and techniques and for each participant to produce\, by the end of the three days\, a case-bound book. You will learn about paper\, the techniques of cutting\, sewing\, glueing and casing (including inserting endpapers and ribbons). More advanced students can be accommodated\, with prior notification\, who may require guidance on their own projects.    \nChris is a qualified teacher and inspiring bookbinder. Tools and equipment will be provided and will also be available to purchase for those who want to continue with their new skill at home.  The course will be held in our recently restored and refurbished bindery. \n\n \n
