DESCRIPTION:\nThis course\, with Mike Hope\, will set out to show how the Dutch contribution\, in terms of art\, design and architecture\, developed and burst onto the world stage.  The often overlooked flowering of a particular version of Art Nouveau was soon to be challenged and overtaken by a series of movements and exponents\, culminating in the development of De Stijl and the birth of Modernism.
