SUMMARY:Learn to use a Sewing Machine
DESCRIPTION:\nA course for absolute beginners to learn the basic uses of a sewing machine. Learn about the machine parts and maintenance of the machine\, about using the correct needles and threads and how to wind the bobbin\, thread the machine correctly and adjust the tension. You will then learn how to start and finish\, practise basic stitches\, finish edges\, sew hems\, apply trims and make two beginner projects to practise your new found skills\, a tote bag with a ‘magic’ lining and gusset and a matching lined handbag with pleats and handles with a simple paper pattern. This will include using a pattern\, construction techniques\, using interfacings for structure\, decorative finishing stitching\, applying trims and some fun touches. \n\n \n
