DESCRIPTION:\nNo woodworking skills are required to learn the intricate art of marquetry.  You will learn about veneers and how to cut and shape them to create simple motifs and will then progress to more complicated designs.  You will discover how to work with geometric shapes and create parquetry\, and how to apply shading and finishing techniques.  By the end of the course you will have made at least two coasters and a decorative panel of your chosen design.  These are yours to take home with you\, as are the tools you have used to produce them.  The course is designed for beginners and the fee includes materials. \n  \n\n \n
