SUMMARY:Mosaic Workshop with Trudy Britton
DESCRIPTION:\nTrudy Britton is a teacher\, a gardener and a mosaic artist. With a degree in Art and English\, she has always enjoyed creativity and has experience in a wide range of arts and crafts. Having discovered mosaic twelve years ago\, she realised she had found the art form she loved most. After offering to teach some friends the techniques she had learned\, she has since had a stream of people wanting to do more\, and now has her own studio in Kent. \n“It is the most wonderful excuse to buy more glass\,” says Trudy. “I get enormous satisfaction helping people uncover the artist within themselves.” \nTrudy says she is drawn to the rich vibrant colours and the myriad textures that are mosaic. “I love the shapes and the variety of materials. I enjoy every part of the process from the vision of the original concept that inspires the design\, to the carpentry involved in framing the piece.” \nTrudy enjoys creating abstract designs as well as ‘pictures’. She uses ceramic tiles as well as glass and loves to incorporate stones\, beads and shells\, as well as fused glass pieces. \nOn this four day mosaic workshop\, students will explore all aspects of mosaic-making\, from drawing up original designs\, to creating a finished piece of work. No previous experience is required. \nAll materials will be provided and are included in the price of the holiday.TB4 \nThe holiday runs from 4pm Wednesday evening to 4pm on Sunday afternoon. \n\n \n
