DESCRIPTION:\nThe Summer School runs for five weeks\, with 20-30 courses week-long courses taking place every day during each week – from individual instrumental and vocal classes to chamber music\, large ensemble courses and composition. You can take part in up to four courses per week\, and stay for one or all five weeks! \nThe all-comers Orchestral Workshops offer a chance for amateurs and future professionals alike to take part in friendly rehearsal sessions culminating in an end-of-week performance in the Great Hall\, led by professional conductors. \nChoose your week by repertoire: \n\nWeek 1 Gabrieli & Vivaldi\nWeek 3 String Orchestra play Elgar and Woolf\nWeek 4 Bruckner Symphony No.5: Austrian-themed\nWeek 5 Bach & Brahms arr. by Schoenberg.\n\nAlso check out what else we have on each week that you could take part in\, like instrumental workshops or masterclasses\, and ensemble sessions such as the Tea Dance Band\, Wind Band and Chamber Music! \nThe week culminates in a performance in the Medieval Great Hall. \n\n \n
