This long-weekend holiday gives painters, both experienced and beginners, the opportunity to learn new, or develop existing skills in watercolour painting. Pam Bowen has specialised in botanical painting for many, many years and has taught classes at various venues in the UK and abroad. This course will focus on the natural world that inspired William Morris. Sketchbook work will lead to producing pictures and illustrations inspired by nature and there will be a guided tour of National Trust property, Wightwick Manor, renowned for its William Morris wallpapers and fabrics, by Sandra Thomas who has studied the life and work of Morris. There will also be an opportunity for flower painters to produce pictures with a botanical interest.
