DESCRIPTION:\nHow convenient to find good painting subject matter close to home! The combination of garden landscape and a simple structure like a summer house can be the basis for an excellent painting. There will be very little perspective to worry about but what there is will be clearly explained. The tutor will work from her sketches and a photograph. You can use this or bring your own summerhouse picture and work in parallel. You will be encouraged to keep your watercolours transparent and ensure that your painting is tonally balanced. The scene is bathed in sunlight and the dappled shadows play a very important part in the finished painting. The tutor will demonstrate various techniques which will be needed in the work and will circulate to give individual help as needed. \n\n \n
