New online networking for lifelong learning providers in the UK & Europe

Anything new has to start somewhere, so this is a brief introduction to our online networking groups and why they have been created …

The LeisureCourses.net website has been developed to give a collective online presence for providers of non-accredited residential adult education in the UK & Europe – put simply, it will help courses run by both businesses and individual tutors to be found on the internet.

Following the closure of ARCA on 31 May, there would not have been any single website bringing residential lifelong learning courses and resources together – and LeisureCourses.net is now that unique portal.

One of the many other benefits of the ARCA association was the networking element – a community filled with professionals sharing similar roles and responsibilities.

These two online networking groups offer new and private forums for you to share your questions, suggestions and ideas.

LeisureCourses.net, ARCA & the Standing Conference 2014
Lifelong Learning (ARCA) on Google+

Both of these groups will include updates about the new website as it develops, plus information about a Standing Conference to be held in May 2014. The Conference continues the ARCA tradition of bringing residential course organisers together face-to-face, and 1 free place will be available to all providers listed with LeisureCourses.net 2013.

Each online group also gives you the option to control how you receive notifications, and whether you are registered with Google+ or LinkedIn – you can join one or both of the groups.  If you are uncomfortable using social media as an individual, Google+ communities enable you to participate as a business, without disclosing any personal information. On the other hand, LinkedIn is the top social network for professionals so if you’re looking to build business relationships, this is the group for you.

We look forward to hearing from you !
