Art doesn’t come much bigger than Manet, Munch, Vermeer and Picasso. Well, you could make up your own list but these particular artists will feature prominently during the weekend. In addition there will be presentations and discussions about the purpose of the visual arts both in the past and today. The documentary filmmaker, Phil Grabsky, will describe his involvement with some of our major galleries in broadcasting live, around the world, exhibitions of real significance and we will see some of his films. He and Wayne Bennett will be joined by an artist and a curator to unpack our relationship with art as it has changed over time. Evening meals will include wine and this will help lubricate our conversation and the flow of ideas. You can attend this weekend as a whole or come for parts-thereof. Further details of how this breaks down please see the website or contact the Bookings Office. All-comers welcome.
