Hawkwood is set in a stunning location in the Cotswolds. The college occupies 42 acres of land, 20 of which is leased to a community-supported agriculture collective. There is also a mixed woodland, mature landscaping, a walled garden, orchard, beehives and a natural spring.
The house can accommodate up to 50 people in 30 bedrooms. Many have original features and views over the garden and beyond. There are five meeting rooms of different sizes in the main house, plus two art studios in the converted stable block. Hawkwood has a commitment to locally sourced and organically grown food as far as possible, including growing salads, herbs and flowers in the Victorian half walled garden. There is a Meditation Space in the woodland used by visitors, staff and people from the local community. We have an open policy to our grounds and gardens and we are community friendly – we run an annual open day, we are home of Stroud Community Agriculture and a community co-operative wood fuel group.
