Weekend courses at Madingley Hall

Madingley Hall is home to the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education, which offers a range of weekend courses and many other part-time courses for adult learners, taught by leading Cambridge experts.

Its popular weekend programme runs all year round and features more than 150 courses on subjects including archaeology, architecture, art history, creative writing, history, landscape and local history, languages, literature, music, philosophy, psychology, religion, science and more.

Weekend courses are open to everyone, and no background knowledge is required in most cases. Teaching is in small, informal groups by tutors who are expert not only in their subjects but also in teaching those of all ages and experience.

Built in the 16th century, Madingley Hall is a Grade 1 listed building, set in seven acres of landscaped gardens designed in the 18th century by ‘Capability’ Brown, and has first-rate accommodation and award-winning cuisine. It is just four miles from the centre of Cambridge and only 60 minutes from London, with excellent links to London airports. Madingley Hall is also an ideal setting for conferences and events.
