Treat yourself to a weekend of stitching seasonal projects ready for Christmas – use them to decorate your own home, or give them as special presents. Stars, kings, doves, poinsettias, angels, Christmas trees; you’ll find them all here in abundance! Learn new techniques as you stitch Gail’s gorgeous designs: there will be lots of projects to choose from, to suit all tastes, including three sumptuous kings, spectacular Rose Window wall quilts, doves, a poinsettia, a folded patchwork star, Bethlehem rooftops at night, and an exotic Indian embroidered bird rope.
Whether you are a complete beginner to patchwork or an accomplished stitcher, this is an excellent weekend for extending your skills and learning new ones, with a wide variety of different techniques on offer for creating the projects. Gail has always enjoyed working with textiles and began stitching full time about 15 years ago. She has a particular passion for variations on the stained glass patchwork technique, and encourages her students to explore this easy and effective method. She also stitches large quilts and church banners and has written numerous books on different aspects of embroidery and quilting, often taking ideas from her travel both at home and overseas.
