The Czech tradition is one of the most significant in the whole of Western music. The national style which developed during the 19th century and continued during the 20th has contributed much fine music by many composers, and remains central to the repertoire of musicians the world over. Our weekend will concentrate on the rich legacy of Czech symphonies and symphonic poems, with music examples on excellent hi-fi equipment.
The characterful Stratton House Hotel atCirencester provides comfortable individual bedrooms in a peaceful location, just outside the town. The weekend is designed as an informal conference, with an excellent cuisine including wine with dinner, and will conclude with afternoon tea on Sunday.
