The Descent is the second programme of four:

• The Journey,
• The Descent,
• The Embrace,
• The Circle of Fire

The Descent is a plunge into the mysterious wild. Leaving the nurturing safety of Embercombe we journey into the dream-world and walk ancient paths that reach inwards and outwards. The Descent will appeal to those who like to take their myths straight. There is no dilution here. On the wings of owls we make silent passage towards the unknown, reaching back into times when our land was considered sacred by tribal people, our people. The Descent is time machine hurtling through space. It is the back door into a forgotten world. For a few days we journey into the swirling clouds, ford swollen streams, clamber rocky outcrops, and slake our thirst at the source.
The Descent brings deep connection with the wild. It provides a tap root – the unfolding joy of realising our potential, and being in the right place, at the right time, for all time.

This is adventure.
The Descent takes place away from Embercombe.
The Descent is only open to those who have completed the Journey programme.
Cost: the same as The Journey: £750 for people who can afford this, or £550 for those who cannot.
