A course designed to look at the natural habitat of woodlands, how we have evolved with this environment and how we can use this knowledge to create a diverse and sustainable resource. You will take a look at the physical structure of the trees and their habitats, the various management systems and the kind of products that are made from trees, shrubs, plants and animals. Although based at Monkton Wyld, emphasis will be on looking at different local woodlands and working with the materials in our woodland workshop.
