The course includes learning some core repertoire and will examine the structures and techniques used to improvise. This will include ear training, blues scale, 2-5-1 progressions and jazz harmony.  Suitable instruments for this course will be brass and woodwind to include trumpet, trombone, alto and tenor saxophone, clarinet, flute.  Please enquire if you play another instrument to check suitability. The advised level of playing for this course would be approximately grade 5 and above.
