This is a weekend course that will appeal both to those who just fancy a holiday weekend experimenting with a new world of coloured inks and papers, as well as to those who want to pursue a hobby or vocation in paper marbling. Whichever category you fall into, come prepared to immerse yourself in the world of marbling – it’s a messy but wonderfully creative occupation and we guarantee that you will be amazed at what you can produce after two days of carefully supervised hands-on experience. You will learn something of the history of marbling, the key techniques for producing very different results and the recipes for success. Jill will also have a range of items on display that will give you ideas for the many and varied things you can make with your marbled papers. Even if you don’t continue with marbling at home (and Jill fully expects many to become addicted, as she did), you will be assured of a fascinating and creative few days – and you will never look at marbled endpapers in the same way again.

Prices include tuition, all meals and accommodation. An additional materials charge of up to £35 will be payable to the tutor.
