The Grange is a beautiful, peaceful and healing place to be. For many it has provided a sanctuary where possibilities can emerge and life can take on a new significance and direction. This weekend provides an opportunity to share experiences and learn from one another in a gentle and supportive environment.
There will be a mixture of workshop and quiet retreat time, and there will be opportunities for individual counselling and relaxing body therapy treatments.
Being in a small and supportive group of women can be an enriching experience. The majority who attend are in their mid to later life and are looking forward to a positive future where they aim to live life to the full. Those who have been before often say they feel nurtured during the weekend and rejuvenated by the end. Our Re-Treat is deliberately part retreat and part treat because that’s what we believe women in this age group need – time away from busy lives, some time for self, for reflection, renewal and rediscovery, and some time for enjoying the simple things in life – being cooked for, laughing together, feeling free to be who we are.
We find that women sometimes come with issues they have been trying to resolve, for example adapting to life after the menopause, children leaving home (the empty nest syndrome) and separation and divorce. A few days away to have space and reflect can often be very helpful.
