This course with Michael Travers will consider what we can learn about human nature, the human condition and the meaning of life from a play by Samuel Beckett, short novels by Herman Hesse and Fydor Dostoevsky, a short story by Leo Tolstoy and poems of W.B Yeats. We will also consider the relationship in general between philosophy and literature.

BEGINNERS’ DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY IT1977
This course with Paul Walker is designed for the amateur photographer who wishes to get the most out of the digital camera. It uses simple teaching methods that will demystify the plethora of technical terms which haunt the beginner. Photograph the outstanding views in and around Higham Hall, develop your compositional eye, look at night, macro and narrative photography. You can then use computer applications to alter and improve your image, creating the perfect photograph.
