- How long will our details feature on the website ? You can select a variety of options according to your needs and budget. 3 months is the minimum listing period for the Tutor Directory and Course Organisers.
- Can I update my new website details myself ? Yes, a username and password will be provided for you to manage your content. We are here to help so simply let us know if you need our assistance in using the website management area.
- Who can sign-up to appear on this website ? LeisureCourses.net is a personally managed portal offering information about non-vocational short courses for adults. As well as residential courses in the UK, it may also include day courses or evening courses, or study breaks that take place elsewhere in Europe. The primary focus is on non-award-bearing adult education in wonderful locations.
- What about Data Protection ? Visitors will be given the opportunity to opt out of receiving further information from Course Organisers. It is your responsibility to respect and manage the personal data you are sent via the website.
- Our subject list is not up to date – how can I change it ? You are encouraged to keep your subject list updated and restricted to courses you actually have planned to run. From the website management dashboard you can select or deselect the subject categories relevant to your current programme.
- How many courses can we add to the Calendar? For registered Course Organisers our data entry team will submit up to 6 courses free of charge, but there is no limit to the number of courses that you can add yourself. Your website page will show no more than 9 featured courses at any one time. Adding a good quality image (760px x 250px) to each course can significantly enhance your page content.
- How will we receive information about the annual Conference ? Details will be posted on the website and within the LinkedIn and Google+ networking groups.
- What about RSS syndication to the blog? A blog section is included within the main website. RSS Syndications for Course Organisers listed in LeisureCourses.net can be incorporated into the website.
- What does that mean? If you write a blog, a copy of your article is fed through to the website automatically. Subject to approval by a site administrator it will appear on the Blogs! Page with a direct link back to your original article – this can be an easy way to increase the number of visitors to your website.
- We don’t have an RSS feed – can we still submit articles to the Blog? Yes of course, within the website dashboard you can submit articles and they will be reviewed and published in the usual way. Alternatively, you can email details to admin@leisurecourses.net
- Who appears on the home page? There are 3 main pages listing course providers; Welcome, Providers, Subjects – provider details are shown in a completely random order on each load of the page. Listings A-Z can still be seen from the main dropdown menu or via the Index of Course Organisers page.
- Can I remove my details from the website ? Yes of course, you are under no obligation to promote your courses via LeisureCourses.net – please just get in touch – email admin@leisurecourses.net
- Will you provide a website manual ? Yes, a user guide will be provided – please note that only one email address per organiser will have access to manage your content.
