We are delighted that our friend and tutor Pascale Petit has recently been awarded the Manchester Writing Prize for Poetry 2013.  The Manchester Writing Competition was devised by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy and her team at Manchester University to attract the best new writing from around the world.

Judges Bernard O’Donoghue, Adam O’Riordan and Fiona Sampson awarded Pascale with the prestigious prize for a collection of unpublished poems from her forthcoming collection Fauverie.

Pascale will be joining us at Chateau Ventenac in May 2014 for a workshop The Wild Life of Poems.   If you would like a place on the course, ensuite accommodation is available on a first-come first-served basis – please email me if you would like any more details.  A deposit is required to reserve a place with the balance payable before 22 March 2014.  We can also advise you about travel options so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you are not sure of the best way of travelling here.

Fauverie” will be available from Seren Books later in 2014.  For further details visit www.serenbooks.com/author/pascale-petit
