Blogging, Birthdays and Tweets

Listed on June 27, 2014 in Blogs!

I do apologise for neglecting the blog. My only excuse was a BIG birthday at the end of May and a very busy time concluding work on the new adult education courses and events programme. I also think that there’s a point about only blogging when you have something to say. I’m also a bit late in letting you know about another BIG birthday celebrated this month. Our grand piano was born on 10 June 1924 making it 90 years young. We know this because all of the keys are dated with one of those rubber date stamps. We tweeted this birthday and it has been re-tweeted to 11,500 people. Even Bechstein in Berlin picked it up and sent back birthday congratulations! If you thought that was impressive you should see our Echium Pininana. It has been spectacular and the tweet on that went to 16,000 people. Now I don’t really understand this stuff mainly because I don’t have the time, let alone the inclination, to spend time reading the stuff. Who does? And as for blogging? I’ll get back into the swing of things next month, I promise.
