City & Guilds courses at Missenden Abbey

This course covers techniques old and new using natural fleeces, fibres and dyed merino. These are further developed by the design unit showing the diversity of feltmaking. Two more projects will further expand knowledge of design and felt. Learners must attend all six weekends to complete the course.
Tutor Jenny Compton, an enthusiastic felt maker since the eighties, is a member of the International Feltmakers Association and a qualified City and Guilds tutor. Her work is influenced by the Shropshire countryside near her home.
