Canal Art, the colourful decoration found on canal narrow boats, is based on the traditions of the late 1800’s, early 1900’s, and now includes many contemporary designs that reflect the countryside, animals, places, film, television characters, etc. The traditional styles have been adapted to suit the many different types of boats now found on canals. This course includes exercises in traditional patterns of roses & daisies and a design with a contemporary twist. Bring your own items to decorate with traditional and contemporary patterns.
