This course is ideal for those who have perhaps enjoyed listening to Classic fM or watching the Last Night of the Proms and would like to know more about classical music but don’t know where to begin. It also serves as a useful refresher for those already familiar with some music, and points the way to avenues perhaps as yet unexplored. Roy Stratford, well known for his courses at West Dean College, Jackdaws and elsewhere, makes his Benslow Music debut charged with the simple task of whisking us through a thousand years’ worth of music in less than 48 hours.
