The Impressionists created a particular way of working that was a reaction to traditional painting techniques.  The course explores various techniques through a series of exercises; building images with brushstrokes, the use of colour and creating more with less; to help any artist progress their own painting style.  We will discuss the characteristics of Impressionist Paintings and how particular artists like Monet and Cézanne used them to create their own style.
