You will cover a selection of basic leather working skills using traditional tools as well as working with Oak Bark tanned Bridle Butt hides from the tannery in Colyton. You will hand cut the straps for your belt, edge, bevel, dye and burnish it. As well as riveting, skiving and fitting.
Grace will be teaching traditional Bridle/Saddlers stitch using hand waxed linen thread. Each stitch contains an overhand knot so it has its own integrity.
By the end of the course you will have made your own beautiful leather belt.
