Working on watercolour paper we will look at the characteristics of striking compositions that have a real ‘wow’. We will also consider the colours and textures which contribute to the compositions focusing on the jewel colours and forms from the garden and hedgerow at this time of year. Using colour technique and looking at texture we will examine how to work paper to create lively and accurate paintings, looking at the different pigments that can be used together to create the jewel colours that can be found in autumn and considering both palette mixing as well as laying down washes. With individual tuition, group discussion and demonstration and with examples of work and plant material supplied you can work in watercolour or colour pencil. This course is for the near beginner through to those with some experience.
