Polymer Clay for Beginners and Improvers: Faux Effects and Surface Bling

Wed 23 Oct 2013 @ 12:30 - Fri 25 Oct 2013 @ 14:00

£185

Polymer clay is a material that can be shaped and cured in a domestic oven and is available in lots of delicious colours. This course provides a taster for creating your own bespoke jewellery, or elements that can be incorporated with your own personal mixed media projects. You will learn different faux techniques, as polymer clay can be made to look like other materials, such as wood and enamel, plus the opportunity to create simple patterns using the ‘millefiori’ (meaning ‘thousand flowers’) technique. Aspects of jewellery design, bead shapes and colour theory will also be covered.
