This morning I had a telephone call saying that Bob and Andrew Perry were at Reception asking if they could photograph their new Bentley outside the front of the House. No problem I said, and then went to investigate. Wow… What they had was a hand-built brand-new Bentley built on an original 1950s chassis with all new bodywork. The coupe sports styling is unique and the bodywork made of aluminium – rustproof and lightweight. Bob and Andrew had made it themselves! At the moment the car is a one-off and will set you back a cool £290,000 and they hope to produce a handful of special edition Bentleys each year. The extraordinary thing about this car is that it was built locally, around the corner in fact, at Ilton. As you would expect, the build quality and detailing is outstanding. Extraordinary things produced with love and dedication all happening down lanes in sleepy Somerset – not unlike us in fact.
