Our 2017 concert season kicks off on Friday 3 February 2017 with the anticipated return of the Coull String Quartet, who will perform music from their critically-acclaimed CDs of Franz Schubert (1797-1828) and Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847).
Performances by the Coull Quartet are renowned for their imaginative and fresh interpretations: “Here is a group, exceptionally intelligent and responsive, which gives freshness to any music it touches” (The Guardian). In 2012, as part of the Cultural Olympiad, the Coull gave the world premiere performance of Ping!, a new piece of music commissioned for string quartet and table-tennis players. Be prepared for highly energetic and virtuoso playing in the first of many highlight events in our 2017 season. Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment!
