Turn up the colour and banish the beige…

For some people beige is seriously boring yet is seems like the colour of choice for older people. Of course, I think it’s the fault of the clothing manufacturers who would claim that colour is for the peacocks of the younger generation. Well how wrong is that? Turning down the colour is like turning down the fader on the stereo…eventually to silence. What nonsense I hear you scream! This weekend we are indulging in our Big Art Weekend when feathers will fly I am sure. Not only will we look at ‘old’ art but we will debate contemporary art too. It seems to me that we have to stay engaged and continue to live colourful lives throughout our time on this planet. If we disengage we die, we fade out. So, let’s turn up the colour and banish the beige – metaphorically and in reality.
