A Scottish Thistle in Beads

Saturday 7 November 2015
Tutor: Debbie Anderson
One day non residential course
9.15am – 4.45pm
Students will create one of the most beautiful flowers in the World, a Scottish Thistle using only a needle, thread and size 11 seed beads. Whilst it is not anticipated that the thistle will be completed in the time given, it is hoped that students will gain enough knowledge to complete this project at home.
Using a prepared finished thistle, students will be shown how to attach the thistle to a stem. All materials needed will be available for purchase from the tutor on the day; also any tools needed can be loaned on the day. This course is suitable for all abilities including beginners. If you are already a beader then bring along your bead stash.

Scrapbooking Day
Saturday 21 November 2015
Tutor: Julie Eaves
One day non residential course
9.15am – 4.45pm
Scrapbooking is a way to combine your photographs and memories into a work of art. During the day we will make two projects – two single layouts that will use a range of techniques. These will be a great start to a new hobby, or a wonderful addition to your existing scrapbooks. The day will be suitable for beginners to advanced scrap bookers. *There will be a supplement of £10.00 for materials, payable to the tutor.
