Farncombe Courses, run from the Farncombe Estate near Broadway, has released a sneak peek at its programme for 2014.

The leisure courses provider celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and will start a new decade of courses with some exciting new additions across all categories.

In Art History and Appreciation Farncombe welcomes 3 new tutors – Mandy Carwood covering the The Art of War, Peter Bryden covering The Victorian Nude and Victoria McGuinness, Projects Manager from the Ashmolean Museum which opens a new museum in Broadway soon, tutoring on Ancient Greek Art and Archaeology.

In Crafts new courses include Calligraphy, Bead Weaving, Papercutting and Stained Glass Windows with a total of 5 new tutors whilst in Textiles section we have brought in Sally White and Jan Hassard to teach quilting weekends alongside our regular tutor Jennie Rayment. We have also, for the first time, introduced crochet and knitting.

For the first time visitors can learn about crosswords and investment and sports fans can indulge in golf days with Broadway Golf Club.

If keeping healthy is more your thing a new Power and Nordic Walking weekend and Secrets of Anti-Ageing for your brain course will be of interest.

Two new writing tutors, Jackie Bennett doing Garden Writing and Brian Jacques doing An Introduction to Etymology join Farncombe and there is a new Photographing Wildlife course with Keith Offord.

Said Programme Manager, Mandy Morrison: “We’re all really excited to announce the line-up of courses for 2014. Whilst there will be some old favourites returning we’ve added to our already impressively varied programme with new tutors, courses and activities. We might have been doing this for 10 years but the variety of subjects out there is always inspiring and I really believe we’ve got something for everyone in the new programme. We’re looking forward to welcoming old and new faces to Farncombe courses in 2014.”
